Evergreen Homestay is the only one of
its kind in Eldoret and its environs. It has a serene environment surrounded by
a variety of trees, be it agroforestry, fruit trees, medicinal, and ornamental.
The hosts have close to two decades of experience hosting missionaries from
Germany, United Kingdom, and the United States of America. This means that they
are quite at ease with international guests. For those who enjoy a quiet house,
you will find this facility one of the most ideal for you, since it is located
on the outskirts of Eldoret town.
The meals are mouth-watering, as past
guests have often expressed. The vegetables and poultry products are fresh from
the kitchen garden and farm.
Evergreen Homestay is a registered
facility operated on Christian principles; therefore, guests will enjoy an
alcohol and tobacco free environment.
Location
The facility is located in Eldoret
town, 8km from the town centre on your way to Eldoret International Airport. It
is 400 meters away from the tarmac road. From Eldoret town, take a left turn
towards Hotel Marriot. Go past the hotel gate and take the first left to the
second blue gate on the left. The house comprises of six bedrooms, four of
which are en-suite with shower and toilet, and two of the bedrooms share a
complete bathroom. There is an extra toilet for day guests.

home to the world's top marathon runners, and is where the famous Kipchoge
Keino Olympic Training Center is located.

Accreditation:
Evergreen has been inspected and approved by the government and has
been accredited both by the Ministry of East African Affairs, Commerce and
Tourism; and Kenya Community Based Tourism Network - a body that works with the
government to accredit homestays in Kenya. Evergreen is also listed on Homestay Kenya website, a site that promotes Homestays in the country.
Evergreen Homestay is compliant to the criteria and guidelines
stipulated by the government in operating homestays business in Kenya.
